A Freelance Technical Illustrator Perception About Digital Technology Updates

Creating graphics images nowadays have grown to digital. Although using a computer is a lot of help, most technical illustrators have not really adapted to using digital technology. For some technical illustrators, digital technology encourages them to manipulate and create visuals with results that are unthinkable decades ago. Even though the software is easy and user-friendly, it is very powerful and has helped a lot of creative professionals in establishing their own technical illustration styles. Many marketers for digital technology have been innovating and modifying old software to help amateur technical illustrators.

Most digital technology updates are now designed to help home users create images in a professional manner. Many digital illustrators are now increasing their skills using a variety of software and are moving closer to commercial digital technical illustration. They are now creating their own visual images, discovering their own visual languages, and then publishing the work across the web, which is a very logical thing to do to increase customer database. Technical magazines are now providing creative and technical advises about using specific software. The topics and the readership are wide and offer tips, tricks, easy to read, step-by-step how-to instructions along with image samples from known professionals in the industry.

However, I am still convinced that the secret in making the best technical illustration and graphic images is combining digital and traditional styles artistically in a subtle manner. Changes and developments may occur with cultural shifts, new approaches, new visions, and new styles. The digital technology updates revolution has given way to creativity and big ideas. However, like any other software, one needs help from buddies to explain certain features and guide you when you are actually using the software. There are times when the image just disappears from the screen for no reason at all and you need to redo everything. The challenge here is knowing what works and what not works in different software. Anyone with a computer and the interest to draw or sketch can easily make a studio at home. Guess in this competitive world, it would be difficult to expand and enhance your drawings without the use of digital technology.
